Liz Deligio

RevelLiz is the staff representative for Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.  Her work at the Center focuses primarily on Militarism, Human Rights and Feminist Spirituality.  Liz received a B.S. in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago and a M.Div at Catholic Theological Union.  Liz has worked at the Center for six years and is a Virgo and vegetarian, true or false? Kathleen Desautels, SP

Revel Kathleen is the staff representative for the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN.  Her work at the Center focuses primarily on Women in Church and Society, Institutional Power, Peace, and Human Rights Issues.  Kathleen received a B.A. from St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN, a M.A. in Religious Studies from La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA and post-graduate studies at Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, IN.  Kathleen has been on 8th Day’s Staff for many years. She continues to have a passion for working in coalition with the Center’s many partners whether it’s the doing of social analysis process or joining them on the streets as part of a nonviolent direct action. Chris Eagan

RevelChris primarily works on Economic Justice issues, 8th Day's Urban Plunge and the "8th Day" Radio Show.  Chris received a BA in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and received a MA in Community Development from Loyola University Chicago. Chris Eagan is the current JVC Magis Intern. He worked at Preble Street Resource Center in Portland, Maine during his Jesuit Volunteer year before coming to Chicago. Gwen Farry, BVM

Revel Gwen is an 8th Day Volunteer representing the Sisters of Charity, BVM. Her work at the Center includes Corporate Responsibility, Illinois Coalition Against the Death Penalty, Economic Justice, Institutional Power and Women in Church and Society. Gwen received a BA in History from University of San Diego, a MA in Education (Supervision) from University of San Francisco and a MA in Religious Studies  (CORPUS Program) from Seattle University.  She was an Elementary Teacher, Principal and Certified Hospital Chaplain – 5 Units CPE.  Gwen lives by the motto: “When all else fails, throw a party!” Phone: (312) 641-5151 ext:105 


Mary Kay Flanigan, OSF

Revel Mary Kay is the Staff Representative for the Franciscan Sisters of Rochester, MN.  She works primarily on Justice and Peace – Not War, Environment and Climate change, Women issues in Church and Society, School of the American-Western Hemispheric Institute for Security Cooperation, Equality and Dignity, Colombia, Palestine and Israel and Restorative Justice and Prisons. Mary Ellen Madden

Revel Mary Ellen Madden is Staff for Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Her work at the Center focuses primarily on Immigration, School of the Americas Watch and Women in the Catholic Church. She received a B.A. in Sociology from John Carroll University and served as a case manager at a homeless shelter through Jesuit Volunteer Corps.  Mary Ellen is an enthusiast of all things Cleveland (her hometown), and in her spare time she enjoys music, theater, and being a foody. Joellen McCarthy, BVM

Revel Joellen is the Office Coordinator.  As Office Coordinator, she is responsible for maintaining financial records, office equipment and supplies, creating mailing labels for staff projects and communicating with Member Congregations.  Joellen was a high school teacher, pastoral agent in Nicaragua, member of formation team for BVM Community and Maryknoll Lay Missioners and served in leadership for BVM Congregation. Jill Landrith


Jill Landrith is the Communications Coordinator at 8th Day Center for Justice.  Jill comes to 8th Day with a passion for social justice, with particular interests in workers’ rights and justice issues in Latin America.   Before coming to 8th Day, Jill spent several years organizing with UNITE HERE Local 1, one of 8th Day's coalition partners.  Jill comes to 8th Day with much talent and expertise in photography, design, and social media. Phone: (312) 641-5151 ext:115  Email:

 Scott Donovan

261 Scott is the Development Coordinator for 8th Day. His work primarily focuses on fundraising and grant writing for the Center. Scott received a B.S. in International Business from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, and an M.A. in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago. Before coming to 8th Day, Scott worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, and prior to moving to Chicago he spent two years in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, serving in Baltimore, MD and Phoenix, AZ. Phone: (312) 641-5151 ext:116  Email: .


Dorothy Pagosa SSJ-TOSF


Dorothy is a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis.  Prior to being elected to leadership of her congregation, Dorothy worked at 8th Day for over 20 years.
