–  SOA Watch Border Convergence –

The annual convergence was moved this Fall from the gates of Fort Benning, Georgia to the militarized US/Mexico border. The Convergence at the Border took place from October 7-10, 2016 in Nogales, Arizona/ Sonora, at the Eloy Detention Center and in Tucson, Arizona. The change of the location goes along with the broadening of the issue and our expanded fight against US militarization at home and abroad. Visit SOAW.org/border for more photos, videos and  to learn more about this powerful encuentro, and read their report back.

– Revel  in the Revolution –

8th Day Center for Justice continues its’ decades-long commitment to women’s equality in all forms of social justice by hosting Jamie Manson for an enlightening conversation at this years Revel in the Revolution.  At a time when the tone of public discourse seems to only alienate and condemn, we offer an evening of kinship, discovery, and action. Ms. Manson’s remarks, and the presentation of 8th Day Center’s Feminist Platform, will illuminate the unifying forces in our midst and provide the vision we have for a global community fashioned in truth and justice.

– Conscience Monologues –

This dramatic telling of women’s stories of faith and courage in today’s world is a creation of 8th Day Center for Justice.  It was written based on a collection of women’s stories of conscience in the Catholic Church using the following definition: “The still small voice within each person, a soul voice that speaks from our essence and guides our lives.”  These stories were transformed into The Conscience Monologues to lift up the voices and experiences of Catholic women.
