When a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the stranger. The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the stranger as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. (Leviticus 19: 33-34)

The Chicago New Sanctuary Coalition is…

…a coalition of interfaith religious leaders and participating congregations, called by our faith to respond actively and publicly to the suffering of our immigrant brothers and sisters residing in the United States. Through prayer, reflection, education, relationship building and action we will welcome immigrants and collectively work to bring that welcoming spirit to the whole community.

The Next Immigrant Welcoming Community Meeting is from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday June 20th at Chicago Temple, 77 W. Washington.
