Climate Confluence THE CONFLUENCE is a week long event where we will come together to share ideas and skills, strengthen our relationships, and create solutions to take care of our basic needs. There will be workshops, performances, trainings and strategy sessions about the issues affecting our communities and our planet, from prisons and police brutality to food sovereignty, health care and disaster relief. Grafted into Christ:  The Reign of God as our Inheritance Join Anne Amati, OSF at the Fraciscan Spirituality Center, 912 Market Street, LaCrosse WI for a weeklong silent retreat.   Mon., July 28, '08 to Aug. 2, '08.  This scripturally-based silent retreat will include reflections, symbols, and poetry on the Parable of the vine and the branches from John 15. Silent Prayer Vigil  for Peace         
Every Tuesday Morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. there is a silent prayer for peace at the corner of Jackson and Dearborn in the Federal Plaza in the Chicago Loop.  Weekly leaflets are distributed and posters show the realities of contemporary war.  Come for the whole hour or any part of it.
